i went to a party on friday. sort of.
it was a small gathering of people i don’t know very well. we were supposed to have hot pot, but we didn’t have a hot pot, so we made food in normal pots. there was a lot of talking about random things… law school, japan invading china, a woman with two vaginas, etc. some people played beer pong. it was really fun! by the time my ride was leaving, i actually wanted to stay longer. hahahaha.
even though i didn’t talk very much, i still felt included. i’m so used to feeling alienated (usually by my own doing). aaahhhhh. it was fun. i’m very happy i decided to go!
other than that weekend event, i thought about how if you tend to refuse invitations to go out, people will stop inviting you. i think that if people say no, you should still continue to invite them, unless you just don’t want to them to go or they’re rude about saying no. my closest friends know i like alone time, but sometimes i feel like they forget i like spending time with people too…
also, spending chinese new year alone sucks. :|
