today was the first time i have ever seen one of these “christian” protesters in person. here’s a photo of him in all his ridiculousness!
i know you really shouldn’t give these people attention, but he was HILARIOUS, and not in a good way. here are a few things he said:
- “The devil is influencing you through gangster rap!”
- “Do you know what the most dangerous STD is? It’s not crabs, it’s not gonorrhea… It’s sexually transmitted DAMNATION.”
- “Ten out of ten fornicators go to hell!”
- “I don’t want sinners in my church. I don’t want your pollution in my church.”
- “If you’re a Christian, you can leave. I’m here to talk to all the sinners.”
i’m serious. goodness. this guy was so absurd… i thought he was just trolling, but no, he was serious. and homophobic. and just very sad.
then these two from the queer chorus (i think that’s what they said) came and sang an an awesome cover of teenage dream. they were really good! and of course, the protester had to counter with a “homosexuality is wrong” song.
he didn’t really make me mad because he was just sooo daffy. it’s terrible and sad that people can become this narrow-minded and bigoted, but damn, he was so funny.
